A Petrol Station

Post by dadlamassu »

In quite a few scenarios of the zombie games the grandchildren like playing the survivors have vehicles so "we" decided that grandad had to build a petrol station to fill up the cars and trucks. So a weekend was spent designing, measuring building and painting.

The building is made from foamcore and the thick card that is used for picture framing.

Great build.... thmbs2)
Greatness is not in where we stand,
but in what direction we are moving,
we must sail sometimes in the wind,
and sometimes against it,
but sail we must, and not drift nor lie at anchor.

The grandsons helped make and paint this one as it is really just a box. The only part that took some experimenting was the roof and the boys learned about templates and "trial an error". They also suggested the use of the TePe interdental toothbrush plastic handles as petrol pumps.

I have all the bits - building, sheds, scrap pile, walls and even pumps, just need the urge to actually gather them all together and build/paint :D
