Greatness is not in where we stand,
but in what direction we are moving,
we must sail sometimes in the wind,
and sometimes against it,
but sail we must, and not drift nor lie at anchor.

Nice to see how well the old Bofors tractor turns out.

Re: My Brits
Great. May I ask which paint colour you used for the Brown of the radio truck?

Re: My Brits
The SCC 2 is mixed using five parts Humbrol 98 Chocolate and four parts Humbrol 29 Dark Earth, well it would be if Humbrol actually did 98 in acrylic but I got a good match for it by mixing Apple Barrel dark chocolate and light chocolate. I actually found a use at last for those silly little tubs that come with the Airfix Starter Sets. I had four of 29 so emptied them into a large bottle and then refilled them with the chocolate, first time ever that I've been sure the amounts were a match !

Re: My Brits
I finished the artillery (except that damned M10 of course) today.
20 AT Regt, it mixed its batteries each having a Troop each of 6 pounders, 17 pounders and M10.
92 LAA Regt, SP and towed Troop. I converted the QLB from the Airfix QLD, the SP Bofors is my one cheat being S+S.
OPs for the three batteries of 33 Field regt. The first Sherman has S+S tracks and is ancient, the other Sherman was made by a certain Miss McHugh (his daughter).
A Battery of 33, the other two being identical except for stowage.

Re: My Brits
Those are looking very good.
Didn't take you long to get the 17pdr done, considering I only gave it to you Saturday morning.
We will have to find a game to use them in.

Re: My Brits
Although not really a part of 9 Brigade I'm also doing a composite Armoured Regiment with a squadron each of Shermans, Cromwells and Churchills along with a mixed RHQ. The Cromwells will be C Sqn, 2nd Northamptionshire Yeomanry who were done before the start of the forum so don't count.
B Sqn, 144 RAC. Number 67, closest to the camera, is the model that I showed WIP pic of elsewhere.

Re: My Brits
I forgot to post the Brigade HQ. Instead f the Humber Scout Car in the RF Orbat I used a Standard Tilly from the new Airfix RAF set . This was for two reasons, first there isn't a plastic Humber and second because an Infantry Brigade didn't actually have any.
