We mist it

Post by Ianwill »

Hi all

Just spent five days in Normandy. Would definitely recommend the Radar museum at Douvres. Also worth a look is the Polish memorial museum at Mont Ormel. There is a panoramic view of the Falaise battlefield. One word of caution. Go on a sunny day. Don't do as we did go on a damp humid day when the valley is covered in mist. As when the nice lady guide points to the dive bridges all you see is mist. When she points to Chambois where the Allies linked up all you see is mist. !) However there was a nice restaurant at the foot of the Mont ;)
Cheers

Bit like being on the top of Snowdon today, brilliant sunshine at the bottom, summit covered in low cloud.
