From the City from the Plough

Post by Adler »

Spending at lot of time in the casting shop at the moment and having run out of new books to read while waiting for moulds to heat up/cool down, re-read Alexander Baron, From the City from the Plough. An excellent read for anyoe interested in the infantry mans war during the Normandy campaign.

I've been looking for a copy of this after LindyBeige's positive review on his YouTube channel, but for the prices I've seen it going online for, they can go whistle.

No doubt its the usual 'end of the print run' price hike, once they reprint no doubt it will drop to a more sensible price. Plenty on Ebay for the 'normal' £10.

Yes a good read most definitely.

I think I now "recognise" the Colonel from having read something non-fiction recently.
