Having a sniff around the internet, I found a few pics, as the subject comes up from time to time and there are a few Berlin projects on the go. Most Flak towers also had a control 'L' Tower for radar and detection etc. G Tower=Gun Tower; L Tower=Radar and Detection Tower.

This one I accidentally came across awhile back and is worth a look through, as it does not come up in the usual flak tower searches, if you have not seen it before:

There are some posters that could be scaled down, in the propaganda tab. For the military and tower pics 'The war comes to the zoo' is the tab you want, though I found all of them very interesting and especially sad for the animals. There are also some plans/maps of the zoo.
Please add any info on the make up of the Berlin Flak Tower garrisons if you have it.
I hope it is of interest.
Flak Towers - Research & Pics
Re: Flak Towers - Research & Pics
Great stuff, many thanx for posting....
Greatness is not in where we stand,
but in what direction we are moving,
we must sail sometimes in the wind,
and sometimes against it,
but sail we must, and not drift nor lie at anchor.

Re: Flak Towers - Research & Pics
Last week I managed to find the remains of the L Tower in Humboldthain, not as sexy as the G Tower because this is all that is left of it but it does allow us to see just how thick the walls were, even on the little radar tower.
The thickness pic.
All that is left otherwise.
I must be getting old because getting to the top of the G Tower nearly killed me !
