Excellent work Don.....
I like the idea of an embankment linking to a ground level track, may have to copy that...

Also managed to finish adding the bridge to my canal section.
Finished all the terrain I am doing, so can now concentrate on the figures.
Thanks for all the kind comments.
Really looking forward to the game.

I was asked about 10 days ago if i could supply some more canal lengths and another bridge for the game.
It appears we had forgotten the bridge at Vehgel, so a quick rethink and a redraw of the map meant we needed another 5' of canal.
As the bridge we had already done looked very much like the Vehgel one, I decided to do a representation of the Son Bridge as the new one we need.
The canal and a 'T' road junction have to fit within a 12" square, so bridge is only a representation.
Have had to raise the road so it can go over the canal.
Also needed an extra 4' of canal. I now have a total of 17' of canal.
More soon.

Steady progress as I await some bits to finish the actual bridge.
All taking shape, should get some paint on tomorrow.
Hopefully the last pieces of canal that I will make for a while

With only a week to go, I have had a very busy day trying to get this finished.
This is my representation of the Son Bridge.
Just waiting for everything to dry, so probably no more work today.
Just a couple of minor details to add to the bridge.
More tomorrow.

Finally finished everything and got it all packed for the journey north tomorrow.
I will be posting pictures over the weekend on the various FB pages and will follow up with an AAR sometime next week.
Hopefully the American paras can take good care of this.
My representation of the Son Canal bridge.
Should be a great game.

Will,
As I said, someone else has made the model, I am just combining it to the canal. I find these 3D models are oversized and look out of place on RF 20mm battlefields.
Don
I too find the laser cut/3D printed buildings just too perfect for me to represent a building. Everything is so precise it just doesn’t ring true compared to all the other scenic items we have.
Colin Rumford has brought one of these buildings and is far from impressed. I saw it on Friday night and thought is was a 15mm building. Finish was very poor. The windows didn't line up with each other and there were very visible laser lines all other the surface. Where the roof joined with the house the edges had curled up. As I suspected best not buy unless you have it in your hand and am happy with it.
