15mm Gettysburg Pennsylvania College??

Post by Tunnel Rat »

A group of friends & I are doing the 1st day of the battle of Gettysburg in 15mm to be put on at the Devizes show later this year. The Lutheran Seminary, Evergreen Gatehouse & Graveyard, McPhersons Barn & Thompson House are all available from Monday Knight Productions in the US but we can't find a source for the Pennsylvania College. Does anyone know if one is made in resin by any of the manufacturers, or even if it is available in paper/card.

Thanks in advance.

Quick Google shows this picture of the building in the 1800s. It looks like it would be pretty easy to scratch build from wood offcuts, some card window frames and a colonnade/portico either scratch built or from one of the mdf manufacturers. Plastic tbing for the tower? Presumably it won't be in the main battlefield but part of the surrounding period-feel scenery.

Thanks for that image Sediment, great for reference. The College sits on the edge of Gettysburg & the fighting on the first day of the battle shouldn't get that far but you never know. I think its actual size for 15mm is probably why no-one actually makes it as it would probably be an expensive terrain item that would only be put on the table very occasionally - not that this ever stopped a wargamer!!! :D :D The Lutheran Seminary was a smaller building & cost $45 to buy so I wouldn't like to think what this would actually cost.

Just in case anyone is interested, Buildings in Turmoil are currently designing one for 3D printing. They have offered to re-size it if necessary for our game. Great news for us otherwise our build meister would have to scratch build one. The initial pics look fantastic.
