Re: Dutch 1940

I can only echo other comments. Very nice. I have toyed with a Dutch force myself for BG Blitzkrieg. If I may be so bold can you tell me what colour you used for the uniform?

Re: What a tanker! anyone?

Bob, thanks. Sounds like your experience was exactly the same. In fairness it is the only part of the rules that appears open to "interpretation" which can lead to "disputes".

Re: US WW2 Paratrooper Advice Please

Thanks 7dot62mm. I find SHQ too small for my liking, and haven't used plastics for many a year. I have never hear of Sojer or Mercer and can't find any websites when I use Google. I love the old FAA models but when I tried to order from them in the US a few years ago they never answered any e-mails ...

Saumur 2

Last week some of the lads from the Black Wolf club in Hitchin headed off to France with our wives, and for us the tank museum was the likely star attraction of the trip. Leaving the ladies to enjoy the delights of the chateau and old quarter we headed slightly out-of-town to the "Musee des Blindees...

Re: What a tanker! anyone?

Hi, I have also done a rules review but combined it with an AAR so it is in a different part of this website. To be clear at the Hitchin club I have yet to see the "unhistorical" gaming that Kieven mentions. I think he may be just talking about somewhere else! I have recently played another game of ...

Re: US WW2 Paratrooper Advice Please

Chaps, thanks for the advice. Although I usually like some of the Britannia stuff this doesn't appear to be their best range.....or maybe the photos on the website just don't do them justice.. I don't usually associate Elhiem with WW2 so thanks for the tip. They look really nice figures and seem to ...

US WW2 Paratrooper Advice Please

Hi, I've just come back from a week away in France, and after visiting St Mere Eglise am quite tempted to build a platoon or two of US paratroopers in 20mm. My limited research indicates that the guys who dropped on D-day were in a quite different kit from that used later during Market Garden, being...

Just off there myself so thanks for the "taster". In June we also scheduled to visit the Panzer Museum in Munster so loads of heavy metal in 2018!

Re: What a tanker - AAR/Review

Chaps, thanks for the various replies. I probably agree with all the comments. It certainly is "beer and pretzels"; or as we will soon find during our sojourn to France "vin rouge at fromage", but sometimes that is what I need! We have played it 2 on 3 and yes it can get a tad frustrating particular...

What a tanker - AAR/Review

Last week the lads at the Hitchin Black Wolf club gave a second outing to the Two Fat Lardies “What a Tanker” game of WW2 Tank Combat. The previous week it was played in 28mm. This time we dropped to 20mm and used a more cluttered table. https://oscarmikegaming.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/3-img_0792...
