Re: my entry - some French R35/39's

The decals are I-94 decal details - a few different packs - one for the symbols, one with roundels and one with tank names. They offer a very wide range of cheap decals that are useful for all sort of periods and vehicles. I usually pick them up a show - 5 packs for £10

Great work on the camo! Did you use a filter to tone down the brightness?
I used a pretty heavy wash - vallejo black wash and then highlighted with the original colours again. I then applied 2 tones of pigment - a dark earth, then a light earth. I use Abetilung 502 pigments.

Re: French R35/39 Tanks

Thanks Timotheus. Yeah they are s-models. Didn't known about the vision ports, I thought that the upgrade to the long barrelled L35 37mm SA38 gun was what separated the R35 and R39 but I read after your post they also got a new turret. Thanks for the info.

Re: French H35/39's

You're right they are Renaults they only have 5 wheels and 2 and a half bodies. Working on both types at the minute and got mixed up which ones I'd p painted. Thanks for the correction. thmbs2)

French R35/39 Tanks

A Platoon of French R35/39's that I painted for the inaugural group build - my first bash at french tank camo. Tried to copy the camo scheme of a French R35 at Samur - though not as shiny and with a bit of dirt added to reflect a few weeks of combat. https://i.imgur.com/SHcfGUU.jpg https://i.imgur.c...

my entry - some French R35/39's

Hi All, My entry to the Bicentennial Build - a platoon of French light tanks - R35/39's This is my first attempt at French Early War armour camo schemes. Took longer than I thought and was quite challenging given I just use brushes rather than an airbrush. With hindsight, I will do the next ones in ...
